Technical Questions
What is the difference between T1, T2, T3 and T4 heat resistant belts?
T1 handles up to 100C continuous (125C peak), T2 up to 125C (150C peak), T3 up to 150C (180C peak) and T4 up to 200C (400C peak). Selection depends on material temperature, lump size and conveyor length, because a short conveyor gives less cooling time.
Can a heat resistant belt be spliced on site?
Yes. Hot vulcanization with matching high-temperature tie gum is recommended. Cold bonding cements are restricted in high-temperature zones because the bond degrades faster than the cover.
How long does a heat resistant conveyor belt last in cement service?
Typically 12 to 24 months on clinker lines. Cover compound, cooling zone length and idler spacing are the main life factors. Reducing idler spacing by 10 to 15 percent in hot zones extends carcass life.
What is the minimum pulley diameter for a heat resistant belt?
Minimum drum diameter follows ISO 3684 and the carcass rating. As a rule, at least 125 times the total EP fabric thickness. Undersized pulleys cause ply separation under thermal load.

Heat Resistant Conveyor Belt Temperature Grades (T1-T4)
| Grade | Continuous Temp | Peak Temp | Cover Compound | Typical Application |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| T1 | Up to 100C | 125C | SBR / NR | Aggregate, grain, fertilizer |
| T2 | Up to 125C | 150C | Heat-resistant SBR | Cement clinker, foundry sand |
| T3 | Up to 150C | 180C | EPDM | Cement clinker, chemical ash |
| T4 | Up to 200C | 400C | Special polymer blend | Steel sinter, hot slag |
Standards: ISO 4195, DIN 22102, GB/T 9770. Minimum pulley diameter follows ISO 3684. Higher grades require thicker covers: T3 typically 6mm top / 2mm bottom.

Frequently Asked Questions
What temperature can a heat resistant conveyor belt withstand?
YouBelt HR grades handle continuous temperatures from 100C to 250C (T1-T3), with peaks to 400C for short exposure.
Which grade should I choose for cement clinker?
T2 (150C continuous) covers most clinker applications; choose T3 for sinter or direct high-heat discharge.
How long does a heat resistant belt last?
Typically 12-24 months in clinker service; cover compound and cooling zones are the main life factors.
Do you provide custom sizes for this belt?
Yes. Width, length, thickness and surface pattern are customized to order. Send your specification or drawing for a fast quote.
What is the lead time?
Standard items ship in 7-15 days. Custom orders typically need 15-30 days depending on quantity and tooling.
